Setting Our Pace: Collegiate DECA ENGAGE Conference

This fall, Indiana’s Collegiate DECA delegation is preparing to travel to Tampa, Florida, for the 2025 ENGAGE Conference, happening October 23–25. Members from across the country will come together to learn, grow, and share experiences, and Indiana DECA is excited to represent the state and highlight the achievements of our chapters. This year has been full of growth and milestones for our association, and ENGAGE provides the perfect opportunity to showcase the talent, leadership, and dedication of Indiana DECA members.

A Conference Focused on Growth

ENGAGE is designed to help members explore career interests, strengthen leadership skills, and build confidence for both competitions and professional development. Attendees will participate in workshops covering topics such as personal branding, team collaboration, problem-solving, and professional communication. These sessions provide practical skills and knowledge that members can take back to their campuses and future careers.

Competitive preparation is also a key part of the conference. Members will participate in case study exercises, mock presentations, and skill-building activities designed to improve performance in DECA competitive events. This hands-on experience allows students to practice applying their knowledge, receive feedback, and develop confidence in real-world scenarios.

Networking and Connection

ENGAGE offers numerous opportunities to connect with other DECA members, mentors, and industry professionals. Members can exchange ideas, share experiences, and build relationships that extend beyond the conference. These connections help strengthen the broader DECA community while providing insights and inspiration that members can bring back to their chapters.

The Tampa Experience

The 2025 ENGAGE Conference will take place at the Tampa Marriott Water Street, located in the heart of downtown and just steps from the waterfront. This location allows members to combine learning with the opportunity to explore Tampa’s culture, food, and attractions. Between sessions, attendees can enjoy the city while engaging in conference activities and connecting with peers from around the country.

Representing Indiana DECA

For Indiana Collegiate DECA, ENGAGE is an opportunity to demonstrate the growth and excellence of our chapters on a national stage. Delegates will showcase their skills, leadership, and dedication, highlighting how Hoosier DECA members are preparing to make an impact in business, marketing, finance, entrepreneurship, and more. Each session and activity contributes to a meaningful learning experience that members can share with their chapters and communities.

As October approaches, Indiana’s delegation is excited to showcase the growth, accomplishments, and potential of our association.
